Camp Team

Denise Peters Camp Director, Chief Operations Officer

Denise Peters is the chief operating officer at the YMCA of Greater Michiana. She has been impacting her community through Y programs such as volunteerism, health and fitness, and adult and youth programming for nearly 30 years. Through her passion for people and working in collaboration to meet community needs, she has also coached multiple sports teams from Kindergarten to Varsity level, taught in community schools, and served in various service organizations. Currently, she serves as the Niles Noon Optimist Club President and teaches in the Health Education program at Western Michigan University. Denise was a business owner in the Niles community for over 25 years prior to earning her teaching degree in Health and English Education.

Michelle Holloway, Maintenance Director

Michelle joined our YMCA Camp Eberhart team in 2022, transitioning from the YMCA, where she has over 20 years of experience in fitness, personal training, and wellness. She has a passion for the outdoors, problem-solving, hard work, healthy living, and making a positive impact on the environment. Michelle works hard to support everything that is happening at camp. She also provides wellness classes at camp for staff and community. Michelle is a bundle of energy and gets the job done!

Heather Wilcox, Food Service and Housekeeping Director

Heather is our Food Service Manager at YMCA Camp Eberhart. Heather has worked in food service for 25+ years, and she and her staff understand and implement menu choices that reflect the special dietary preferences of groups including; children, religious and ethnic groups, health challenges, and the occasional picky eater. Heather is a Certified Food Manager who takes the current food safety laws seriously to maintain a healthy and safe dining experience for our guests.
