Service Crew at YMCA Camp Eberhart is an opportunity to have an incredible camp experience and learn the importance of service during a week at camp. This experience provides campers the opportunity to work alongside others in a small group and participate in a project for camp improvement. It provides the practice of giving of self and working toward an achievement goal with others to bring a greater good. Campers will work on the service project in the morning and participate in camp activities the remainder of the day. They will choose their program activities for the afternoon. Service Crew is a great opportunity for campers to experience philanthropy of service, build lasting friendships, and enjoy the experience of YMCA Camp Eberhart all in a week time.
Every morning, Monday - Friday, Service Crew campers will work with trained camp staff to complete a service project that has a noticeable impact on camp. In the afternoons, everyone in the Crew will rejoin camp as a traditional overnight camper. Open Swim, Open Period, and Activities 3 and 4 are available for them to choose their programs and enjoy alongside their friends. Crew campers take part in all evening programs and live in cabins with other campers their same age, building lifelong camp friendships!
