Built in 1960, the Mittler Hickory Limb Bath House has long served as a vital hub for waterfront activity. Originally designed as a changing and shower area, it was later divided when camp went co-ed in 1976. Today, it functions as the main bathhouse for swimmers and waterfront staff—but it’s showing its age.

With your support, we’ll give this well-worn space the upgrade it deserves, creating a clean, modern, and welcoming facility that supports health, comfort, and safety at the waterfront.

Fun Fact: The concrete floor from the original structure was hauled away by wagon and used to support the roadbed to the island—part of a massive 1960s effort that included excavating the current-day camp pasture. And yes, the name nods to the old saying: “Hang your clothes on a Hickory Limb and don’t go near the water.”

Metal Beds – $150,000   

Help us replace every wooden bunk with durable, easy-to-clean metal beds—improving cabin cleanliness and camper wellness.

Swapping out aging wooden bunks for metal beds may seem simple, but it’s one of the most impactful upgrades we can make. Metal frames are easier to sanitize, less prone to wear, and help reduce the spread of allergens and pests—ultimately lowering treatment costs and improving the overall camp experience.

This upgrade is a practical, lasting investment in camper health, comfort, and care.

Baker Cooper Windows – $20,000   

Help us restore warmth, comfort, and energy efficiency with new windows for this multi-use space.

Now serving as camper housing, the Baker Cooper building has evolved, once home to a photo lab and staff housing. But its original windows are drafty, inefficient, and in need of replacement.

Installing new, energy-efficient windows will create a safer, more comfortable environment for campers and staff, especially those needing extra rest and care.

Fun Fact: This building honors the Baker and Cooper families for their generous, ongoing support of Camp Eberhart.

Stone Cabin Chimneys – $20,000   

Help us restore the historic charm and structural safety of our beloved Stone Cabins by repairing their aging chimneys.

Built between 1949 and the early 1950s, these iconic cabins have housed generations of campers and carry a rich legacy, from hand-harvested camp timber to locally gathered fieldstone. While the fireplaces can no longer be used due to updated fire codes, the chimneys remain a defining architectural feature—and one that’s now crumbling from time and weather.

A proper masonry restoration will preserve the cabins’ historic character and ensure their safety for years to come.

Fun Fact: Legend has it the original builder never picked up his final paycheck—effectively donating the last cabin to Camp Eberhart!

High Ropes Course – $350,000   

Help us replace our aging High Ropes Course to keep adventure, challenge, and confidence-building alive for future generations.

For years, our High Ropes Course has pushed campers to new heights—building courage, trust, and teamwork. But time, weather, and safety standards mean a full replacement is on the horizon. Your support will help us begin this critical project now, ensuring the course remains a safe and inspiring part of the Camp Eberhart experience.

Fun Fact: Before the forest was planted, this area once hosted a skeet range, riding ring, and even a golf course!
