Ryan McGann, YMCA Camp Eberhart Alumnus & Newly Appointed Board Member

For Ryan McGann, YMCA Camp Eberhart is more than just a childhood memory—it’s part of his family’s DNA.

A proud alumnus of the camp from 1977 to 1981, Ryan grew up just doors down from the shores of Corey Lake in Three Rivers, Michigan, where the sounds of campfire songs and cabin cheers were a familiar part of summer life and every available activity was explored.

Ryan’s father, Lew McGann, spent many formative years on the shores of Corey Lake; his sister, Missy, continues the legacy today as Assistant Camp Director; and his fiancee, Michelle Holloway, is Maintenance Director! The values instilled through his family's deep camp connection—teamwork, responsibility, and leadership—have stayed with him for life.

Now, decades later, Ryan is continuing that legacy as a newly appointed member of the YMCA of Greater Michiana Board of Directors. Professionally, Ryan serves as a Senior Design Consultant with Renewal by Andersen of Greater Michigan and has served on the board of the Corey Lake Association for the past seven years. His love for the Camp, lake, and community, paired with his professional experience make him a natural fit for the Y’s Board of Directors, where he brings a grounded, community-first perspective.

“Camp Eberhart helped shape my family and the community I grew up in,” Ryan reflects. “The lessons we learned there—and at home—about teamwork, responsibility, and leadership still guide me today.”

In this newly appointed role, Ryan will channel his passion for service to support programs that build confidence in kids, strengthen families, and bring people together—both at camp and across the broader YMCA community.

“I’m honored to be part of an organization that creates such meaningful impact,” Ryan says. “Being able to give back to the place that gave and still gives our family so much—feels like coming full circle.”
